No, that is build up from not brushing, not just bad yellowing and discoloration. If it were typical smoker's teeth (smokers who brush daily) it wouldn't have that textured, caked on, ridged look along the gumline. I worked in a dentist's office assisting and we got patients whose teeth looked like this. We sent them to the hygienist to get it scaped off. Many of them admitted that they didn't brush everyday.

It's no crime, it's just gross to look at.
