Ex-Wife Sues Christian Brando
Do convicted killers make bad husbands?
By TMZ.COM STAFF
(Dec. 29) -- Christian Brando's ex-wife, Deborah Brando, has filed a lawsuit against him alleging that the convicted killer, and son of screen legend Marlon Brando, is violent, out-of-control and a wife-beater.
Among the charges leveled in the lawsuit are violation of civil rights, assault, battery, domestic violence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The lawsuit details beatings, threats, sexual assaults and other unpleasantries that Ms. Brando allegedly suffered at the hands of her ex-husband.
Their relationship appears to have been a stormy one, from its rocky beginnings where Christian allegedly wooed Deborah by describing in detail how he'd shot a man in the head, through his five year prison stretch (for shooting a man in the head).
Upon his release from prison, Christian resumed his romancing of Deborah, finally wedding her in October 2004.
It was apparently only after she and her 12-year-old daughter moved in with Christian, that Deborah began to notice a dark side to him. This dark side allegedly consisted of violent sexual assault, beatings and death threats against both Deborah and her daughter.
The lawsuit details a pattern of alleged abuse that is truly shocking. The behavior and actions described in it do not sound like the actions of a traditional husband. They sound much more like the kind of thing you'd get if you lived with, well... a convicted killer.
Check out a video clip of Deborah Brando speaking with the television program 'Celebrity Justice,' telling a very different story from February 2005.
TMZ called Christian's lawyer Bruce Margolin, who said that he has not seen the lawsuit yet and can not comment.
