NICKNAMES people! That's what they're for! If you want to have your kid called something outlandish, fine, just give them a normal name that they can use as an adult and give them a nickname to suit their personality.

I don't think Maddox is a horrible name, probably wouldn't pick it for my own child. I don't even think Kal-el is a bad name either if it didn't have the Superman associations.
