Experience has shown that if we debate even the choice of book we won't be able to agree on anything. I will post the list of suggested books in no particular order next Monday and then everyone has 24 hours to vote for ONE choice. I'd be happy to take votes via PM if people don't want others to know their vote. Whichever book gets the most votes wins and if there's a draw we will re-vote on those particular books. We will discuss the book on Mon 4 Feb (NOT before please!). On the same day I will re-post the book list and we will vote again for our 'meeting' on Mon 7 April.
With any book club the chosen book won't necessarily be to everyone's taste and that's kinda the point. If you have already read the chosen book you can either revisit (it can be very interesting) or pick one of the others on the list for your own reading pleasure. Obviously you can still join in the discussion at our 'meeting' in Feb.
I know I'm coming over a bit bossy (who, moi?) on this but I know the pitfalls of organising a real life book club, let alone a cyber one, and you have to have rules that everyone abides by or it just doesn't work.
