That really is not bad...it's worse in Vancouver and it's still Canada...(lol)
. To buy a decent house in Vancouver can cost close to half a million...a decent condo downtown (about 500 sf. one bath) is around $280.000. We used rent a small one like that and the owner sold it for that much so we had to to move.
Our city is really nice though. We are hosting the next Winter Olympics (2010) so that's one of the reasons why the real estate is soaring.
