I 100% agree with you there. I remember when it was the 10th anniversary of his death and everyone was extolling his virtues on the radio. Then one local DJ said, "I think he's a big a** hole" (well, didn't say that exactly, but that's a good summary). He had a kid, and was a selfish prick who killed himself. Yes, his songs were great, but I would not say he was the greatest ever. I'm sure we could find a lot of extremely talented singer/songwriters who have changed the face of music.
