Donatella Versace has thanked Elton John for curing her cocaine habit.
The fashion boss says Elton was staying at her Milan home when she went into her bathroom to snort a line of the drug and the singer blocked her path and told her he had a plane waiting to fly her to rehab.
Donatella said she took his advice and jetted straight away to the famous Meadows rehab clinic in Arizona for treatment.
She revealed: ""On June 30 [2004] Elton was in my house in Milan, along with a few friends. I went to the bathroom to powder my nose and they blocked me. They told me there was a plane about to depart for Arizona.
She added to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera: "I was shocked but I understood the time had come. I slipped into a tracksuit and ... alone and with no make up, caught the plane."
