Oh yes, Nick was drinking and speeding, but he doesn't deserve to be punished because the other kid wasn't wearing a seatbelt. If Nick had ran over a kid who was breaking curfew, does it mean that he shouldn't be punished because, after all, the other kid shouldn't have been out so late? What does it matter if the kid was wearing a seatbelt at all? This seems like a calculated attempt on the part of the Hogan's family to deflect blame, and its stupid, in my opinion.
