Colin Farrell in the hospital for "exhaustion" and pills

LOS ANGELES - Actor Colin Farrell is being treated for exhaustion and dependency on prescription medication, his publicist said Monday.
The medication was prescribed to the Irish actor after a back injury, publicist Danica Smith said in a written statement.
The statement said Farrell checked himself into a treatment center, which was not identified.
"No other comments to be made at this time," the statement said.
Farrell, 29, stars in the upcoming epic, "The New World," and recently finished filming "Miami Vice." He also appeared in last year's "Alexander" and the 2002 thriller "Phone Booth."
