Owen Wilson made a first foray into the public eye last night following his much-publicised suicide attempt in late August.
The actor joined fellow cast members Adrien Brody, Jason Schwartzman and Anjelica Huston in Beverly Hills for the premiere of Wes Anderson's whimsical drama The Darjeeling Limited.
"I've never made a movie without him and I hope I never have to," Anderson said of his longtime collaborator on films such as The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic.
Wilson, sporting a dark suit and customary shaggy blond hair, waved to the audience but said nothing as he took his place on stage at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre.
The Darjeeling Limited centres on three estranged brothers who take a train journey through India to visit their widowed mother. Wilson was admitted to a Santa Monica hospital on August 26 after what police determined was a suicide attempt. Shortly after that he was forced to cancel a cameo role in Ben Stiller's comedy Tropic Thunder.
