Kevin Federline At Britney's Expense?
Quote:
And we're still in 2005, the year when the media and the paparazzi have probably fallen to a new low when it comes to fabricating figurative shit about Britney and Kevin Federline. Let's examine an article that was just released by the National Enquirer:
Britney Angry at Kevin Spending $1 Million for Debut CD
Britney is furious that hubby Kevin Federline is recklessly spending her money to record his debut CD, which he hopes will kick-start his singing career.
A source close to the couple estimates that Kevin, 27, has already spent over $1 million of his wife's loot with no end in sight.
'Kevin's like a runaway freight train when it comes to blowing Britney's money,' the source said.
Britney, 24, has already built Kevin a $400,000 music studio in their Malibu mansion. He used her money to fly in several music producers and each recording session with them costs $40,000. The source also said he has hired a musician at $5,000 a day and is forking out $4,000 to buy the beat or melody for each track.
Kevin's spending infuriates Britney, says the source. But she's even more annoyed that she has practically been banned from his recording sessions. The End
Ok...and here's what the National Enquirer fails to tell you, but that I happily will:
First off, a few facts: Kevin is managed by Britney's management whom is connected to the biggest producers that exist. Britney's money is managed by a business manager who's being paid a fortune to protect it, even from her husband. The alleged figure of $400,000 that Britney spent on her recording studio at the Malibu house is BRITNEY's and not Kevin's...and was constructed as an investment to not have to worry about expensive studio fees in New York or LA. It is NOT Kevin's. Does Kevin get to use it if he wants? Of course !
Is it mainly going to be used by Britney to record future albums? YES. It's a smart move by management to suggest construction of a studio in order for Britney to not have to drain her recording fund in ridiculously overpriced hourly studio fees where they'll even charge you $5 for a can of coca cola that you grab from the fridge (oh yes, they'll go maffioso on yer f*cking ass!).
Ok, now, to the alleged $1 million Kevin has spent of Britney's money to record his album. BULLSHIT.
Let's not forget about a few things, all jokes aside (including my own)....Kevin does have his own money. He got paid for Chaotic (remember it's also been syndicated worlwide), he gets paid for magazine features and for things you guys don't even know about...so, it's not very accurate when people say that Kevin lives off of Britney. He might be wealthy because he's connected to her, but that's a different story, and again, I can't stress out enough, it was Britney who sought the guy out, not the other way around.
The $1 million tag is also ridiculous. The producers that Kevin is working with are working on points. So, usually, an A-list producer will take 5 points (5%) of the gross, while a smaller producer will take 3%....either that, or....$5,000-$30,000 PER SONG that actually gets on an album. These are obviously just estimates.
Nevertheless, Kevin Federline does not have the pull nor the star power for any huge A-list producer to want to spend their time on making hits for him (even if they would get paid a fortune, they would never put their name on the line like that) so let's go by the fact that because he's Kevin, he won't really be working with top producers, they will still be DAMN GOOD producers nevertheless.
Now...the Britney camp has an amazing access to unbelievable resources at almost no cost, why and how is up to you to figure out and understand, but I'm sure you do. Last but not least, there is no such thing as a $40,000 recording session or a $5000/day musician in Kevin's world.
So....I know I made this kind of long, but I thought it would be fun to analyze and strip down an average bullshit article made up by some arrogant editor on their laptop and show you for real how much bullshit gets put out there daily.
It will never end though, I assure you of that. But you can choose to not read it and let it affect your judgement, that's far more important that anything else. Everyone deserves a shot, no matter if you're Kevin Federline or Milli Vanilli. Wait till the final product is out there first. You might end up being really surprised...
Oh!!! and last but not least....you know how the media always quotes a 'close source to the star'....k...just go down Hollywood Blvd. and give Elvis or Spiderman a $5, they'll say, 'oh yeah, I met this tourist from Japan (who had a kick ass camera by the way) who wanted a picture, and HE said that HE knew this girl, and SHE knew this other dude that had a friend of a friend who knows Britney and SHE said that she had heard that Kevin spent $1 million of Britney's money to record his CD.
That equals the credibility of a tabloid's 'close source to the star'. Kay !
