I am guessing like most models and actresses she kept her weight artificially low.
Now that she's pregnant and her hormones and growing baby are screaming for lots of calories to use up, her body is overriding what she'd normally choose. Probably no bad thing either.
I knew a girl who was unhealthily vegetarian. Not saying you can't be a healthy veggie, but this girl wasn't. She basically ate rubbish (not worrying about vitamins or iron) and was sure to avoid all meats. She went from being a vegetarian for 15 years to wanting rare steaks during her pregnancy! And no wonder - the docs discovered she was so anaemic she needed a transfusion after the birth to build her up again.
