I actually sympathize with the bodyguard - he's a father and clearly cared about those babies, so he probably thought that if he was there at least he knew they were being taken care of. If he quit and something happened to them, he'd probably be devastated.
He did go to the authorities, he hired a lawyer and told all this stuff to a judge and thankfully the judge listened to him. I can't blame him for not going to the police - he had seen with his own eyes the same LAPD pull Britney over for driving without a license and letting her go, multiple times. Post Paris and Nicole there's no reason why anyone would think the LA County Sherriff or the LAPD would do anything when it comes to celebrities. The police would arrive and probably just say, "Well, we haven't seen anything and she hasn't physically abused them, so there's nothing we can do."
