I think maybe he is trying to insinuate that people make the assumption that he knows everything about her life now, but don't realize that they were just teenagers when they dated. Very young, very immature.
He knows that when he dated her as a teenager, she was a fun and sweet girl. They broke up, went their separate ways, and didn't really stay in touch. I think he's commenting on how it's weird that people expect him to know privileged information or deep dark secrets about her current personal life.
I don't think most people, myself included, could tell you anything personal or private about the current lives of their high school or even college boyfriends/girlfriends.
