I notice on the imdb front page the "Memoirs" won best costume design.
WTF? Just go to any shop in Japan and you can buy the best costume
award winner. Are they really that amazed? "Look, it has no buttons!"
Academy members must lead sheltered lives if they find kimonos impressive.

Besides, it was a period piece and the costumes were really aesthetically pleasing. I figured it would win (it was my pick in my Oscar pool).

Her body is so wrong that most dresses would look bad - She badly needs to exercise, she looks like she has a child's body
