Another thing I noticed years ago when I used to read real life crime novels is that the authors tend to attribute more attractive physical qualities to white serial killers than they do to minorities, even if the qualities are nowhere near true. In this story I think A*O touched on some serious points: both
parents are physicians/specialists. How bad does it look (for their
future practices) if THEIR (medical) negligence lead to their
daughter's death? I so hope they have nothing to do with it, but
- although everybody reacts differently under stress and grief -
I just cannot feel for them for no particular reason.....
