^^I read that article a while ago and that's always been true in the entertainment industry to some extent. It also applies to every other industry out there. But there are also lots of journos who don't play that game -- I was one of them, and so is my friend, and lots of other writers I know. Just because some people can be bought doesn't mean that everybody can. I've had plenty of interviews with actors that nobody but me had final approval of and I'm far being alone in that. I'm not the fawning type, as most people here know only too well.
To say that all journalists are bought and paid for is definitely not the "real truth."
Ron Rosenbaum is notorious for writing those kinds of stories for Vanity Fair, which gives cover and story approval to celebs, unlike many other mags, so it's a little rich for him to be pointing the finger at other writers, lol.
