Yeah my friend had a nasty Heroin addiction and went to Hazelden in Minnesota and was there for about 6 months then spent another 6 months in a half-way house. Sadly though, he relapsed and succumbed to the addiction 2 years ago. The important thing to notice is that a majority of addicts relapse more often than not, so it could take a number of times in rehab to really kick the habit. The thing is they need to admit it to themselves first that they have a problem. My friend used to tell us it's not as bad as we think, but then when he realized how he was losing everything he told his parents that he needed serious help. They at first wanted him to stay at home and do out-patient, but he knew for his own well-being he needed to go somewhere far from here and stay for a long time.

Basically Lindsay is still a child and doesn't think there's anything wrong with her. No matter what she or the Lohan's do, she will not start getting better until she recognizes her problem. Its really sad to be so young and not have a clue that you're ruining your life...
