RIS- I agree with everything you just said.

Rianam - While I see what you're saying, I don't really think you can say gays will have a more difficult time than blacks or women getting civil rights. While gays may be seen as 'making a choice', blacks and women were seen as just being genetically inferior and not deserving of basic civil rights.

I mean, blacks had to endure fire hoses, lynchings, police dogs, and worse to earn basic rights to vote, attend certain schools, etc. Gays aren't going after those kinds of basic human rights, because they already have them, with the exception of marriage.
