I see the point that you're trying to make, but the reason why the black and jewish lobby, as you put it, hold more sway is because the words nigger and kike have historically been around far longer and both groups have been battling for rights longer than gays have.
And, true, while you have militant blacks and jews who shoot their mouths off, you also have militant gays like Rosie O'Donnell who shoot their mouths off too.
Now I'm not trying to make it into a which group has suffered more debate. But like RIS said if gays want to have the same impact when it comes to the word faggot then they have to step up and let their voices be heard a lot more. But like blacks and jews you have to use the power of the dollar and boycott to get your point across. Back during the 60's blacks were united, for the most part, in large numbers and went after our civil rights. Gays have to follow suit.
