I noticed there is no normal Simpsons thread!!
For the best show of all time I find that stunning.
Anyway I created this just to say that
I managed to watch the special 24 episode last night. I have to say that as a long time Simpsons-picker, it's got to be the most original episode since... 1997. There was not one stupid, roll your eyes moment, and even though I'm not a fan of 24 any more I got the gags. I can't help but wonder if the team behind the movie had a part in the making of this episode, be that the writers from the golden era, the producers, the animation team... All in all it just looked and felt a great deal better. What the show would have been like if it had never jumped the shark.
To me, the best part was Groundskeeper Willie: "Oh, leave me be! I don't want to live if I have to clean up this mess!"
