Thanks, but it is the past and all the crap I experienced helped make me the "I am not taking this shit" type.

I was young and this was years ago. At the time, it was the only job that I was offered and I needed one. That place was rife with questionable ethics. Employees were racially and sexually harrassed and harrassing. There were even physical assaults by the owner. I stayed because I needed the job. I left after the BS. Seeing as the owner had everyone in his pocket, nothing was ever done and people were lying under oath for him. Karma got him and all his minions.
This is one of the reasons I started my own business. I had several jobs in the south that allowed discrimination openly.

I remember faggot being used as a synonym for chump or punk. It meant a shady, lazy, or weak person. It was a character insult, not a sexual orientation one.
How it evolved into a sexual slur, I don't remember, but I know I was a teenager before I heard it used against gays. When someone was called fag, it was to say stay away from this guy or get burned. I think the equivalent now would be calling a guy a punk bitch.
