Everyone has prejudice in their hearts and/or minds.

A racist coworker brought her gay friend to work. He was cool to me, which made her angry. When he brought his gay boyfriend with him one day, the gay boyfriend called me a racist name, to which I responded with a gay slur. The coworker called me another racist name and she got one hurled at her. This broke down into anger-fueled acid-tongued human responses. Do I hate gays? No. Did I hate these individuals at that moment and want to verbally hurt them? Definitely. I am not homophobic or racist, but if someone verbally attacks me with that low blow, basic instincts kick in.

I know just as many racist gays as I do homophobic minorities. As a minority, it is not unheard of for a white homosexual to insult, namecall, or throw around minority jokes.
