Nick & Jessica: It’s over!
In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, Jessica Simpson was bubbling over with excitement. She was looking forward to her upcoming family get-together. But her excitement was extinguished when another report of her husband Nick Lachey’s flirtatious behavior surfaced. A porn star named Jessica Jaymes was claiming that she’d had a torrid fling with Nick.

Jessica attempted to talk to Nick rather than letting her anger fester. But he wasn’t interested in having another discussion about the state of their marriage. Finally, Jessica came out with the words that had been sitting in the back of her mind. “It’s not working,” a family insider says she told Nick. “We should split up.” Nick turned and walked toward the door of their LA home, as his wife of three years crumpled into tears.

On November 23, their split became official. In a joint statement issued to The Associated Press, the couple said: “This is the mutual decision of two people with an enormous amount of respect and admiration for each other.”
