Washington DC was already the world's most tightly restricted air space before 9/11. As close as St. Michael's is to DC I'm not sure I side with the pilots even if I have a large amount of personal revulsion for Cheney, it cannot make that much difference to detour over that square mile. Lord alone knows that Cheney has made enough enemies to warrant such protection.
