Default The good, the bad and the ugly hit the red carpet for the lookalikes' convention

The good, the bad and the ugly hit the red carpet for the lookalikes' convention

It's a balmy night in Las Vegas and Paris Hilton is busy rubbing shoulders with Tom Cruise, Ozzy Osbourne and...George Bush.

But look again and you realise this odd selection of stars are not really sharing the red carpet. They are the world's most convincing lookalikes...or so they would have us believe.
A Jolie good show: She has the right pout and wide eyes of her doppelganger, but no adopted brood

A night in Paris: But the Hilton lookalike is carrying a few more pounds than her skinny counterpart

The 16th annual 'Reel Awards' event at the Imperial Palace and Casino brought together a range of celebrity impersonators from dead ringers to poor imitators.
While 'George Bush' could easily have gained entry to the White House, 'Bill Clinton' resembled the former-President after a particularly heavy night out.

Liza's would-be twin has all the glamour of the Cabaret star

'Tom Cruise' looked too heavy around the chin although he did have an impressive set of whiter than white teeth. And 'Paris Hilton' had the blonde locks and half-smiling pout down to a tee, but unfortunately not the waif-like figure.
And the Ozzy Osbourne wannabe looked nothing like the ageing rocker, even though he was immacuately dressed to look like the star.

The hair's all there, but little else works for this Beyonce hopeful

Other ghostly appearances included Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart and Clark Gable.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's double was spookily similar to the actor turned politician, with an identical tough guy expression and muscle man physique. And 'Mike Myers' a.k.a Austin Powers was the grooviest man of mystery on the red carpet, in his trademark crushed velvet suit.

I'll be back...again. Arnold Schwarzenegger's double is a dead ringer

The Reel Awards were conceived in 1989 by Janna Joos, of International Celebrity Images, and Alana Joos, of Entertainment Express. They wanted to acknowledge impersonators in the entertainment industry, as well as encouraging up and coming new talent.
Bill Clinton: The hair and the sleepless nights are about all that join this lookalike with his hero

George Bush and his doppelganger... but the parting's not quite right

Instead of being handed an Oscar, award winners are given a "Can" which is a film reel can inscribed with the category and winner's name.
The event was open to the public and featured both tribute band performances and bizarre photo opportunities. Where else would you see Pamela Anderson chatting to the Pope?
A radiant smile from the Tom Cruise you're more likely to see in your local Irish pub

The outfit is pure Black Sabbath frontman, but the real Ozzy is an altogether cuddlier prospect
