And let's not forget that during the bulk of Clinton's 2 terms we had a Republican-controlled Congress. But even Bill Clinton admits that there were things he could have done better. But that's not the point. The point was that Bush and the Republicans have tried to lay the entire mess on Clinton's doorstep, as if they have no responsibility.
Which is especially weak when you consider the fact that Bush hasn't even bothered to track down Osama, but instead chose to use our military to invade a country that didn't attack us. And then to make matters worse, he didn't hold Saudi Arabia accountable, even though most of the hijackers were Saudi's, and then he tried to hand over our port security to the United Arab Emirates, who funneled some of the money that financed 9/11. So, in the grand scheme of things, the Republicans are in no position to cast stones at Clinton or the Dems.
