EXCLUSIVE:
Cops quiz new girl over abuse
Suicide fears for 'wife' of 12
GLITTER VICTIM IS AN ORPHAN AGED JUST 11
By Simon Parry & Neil McLeod
WE reveal pop paedophile Gary Glitter's ultimate shame—his latest victim is only 11, and an orphan.
The girl, known as Diem, was found by police on Friday just hours after they hit the pervert singer with child sex charges.
Cops spent a week trying to trace the youngster after she was named by two other girls being quizzed about 61-year-old Glitter's sick harem of underage ‘wives'.
Armed with the News of the World's dossier of evidence that exposed the glam rock beast's hideout in Vietnam two weeks ago, detectives traced Diem to a rural district of the Mekong delta where she lives with her grandmother.
Last night she was being questioned at a police station in seaside town Vung Tau where Glitter set up home and preyed on local innocents.
Police chief Nguyen Duc Trinh confirmed: "We have identified six victims and the youngest was born in 1994. They declared that they had sex with the singer.
"He was charged with ‘having lewd acts with children' and the People's Supreme Procuracy has approved the decision to detain him for three months for further investigation."
Meanwhile the cops' star witness, 12-year-old Tran Thi Thao Nguyen, revealed she has been driven to the brink of suicide by the former chart star's repeated abuse.
She told her family how Glitter lured her to his beachfront villa for £5.80 sex sessions with the promise of English lessons.
In an exclusive interview her father, 43-year-old phone engineer Tran Van Truc, said: "I'm sick with worry that my daughter will kill herself because of the things she is saying.
"She's very, very upset. She doesn't want to see anyone and cries all day. We're so afraid she'll do herself some harm.
"We're not a bad family. But my daughter met some bad friends and they led her into the clutches of this terrible man.
"If I saw him I'd kill him with my own bare hands for what he did to my little girl."
The family are taking some comfort from police assurance that their girl's evidence is enough to convict Glitter. A life sentence now looms. But if found guilty of child rape he faces the death penalty—by firing squad.
And our investigators' file on him grows ever more damning.
The mother of another victim, 15-year-old Nguyen Thi Thao, told us how Glitter trawled the beach to find his prey, three or four at a time, then paid local bikers to ferry them to his house.
At her shanty-town shack Thao's widowed mum Lam, 51, said: "Glitter corrupted my daughter. She told me she'd met this rich Westerner and used to come home with money and gifts including jewellery and a mobile phone.
"She said he was teaching her English and had promised to take her overseas to study.
"At first I thought he was just a kindly godfather but I soon realised he's a monster."
The heartbroken mother, who earns 50p a day as a cleaner, added: "I found out later that he used to tell girls, ‘All you have to do is take your clothes off and I'll pay you 150,000 dong (£5.80).' That's a lot of money in Vietnam.
"Soon my daughter began disappearing from home for days at a time and staying at Glitter's villa for long periods."
In interviews with detectives, a friend of Thao's—Hoang Thi Bong, 18—said the faded rocker used to send her out to recruit girls between 12 and 15. He rewarded her evil Pied Piper work with a £2,000 Honda motorbike.
A police source told us: "The girls testify that it was never ordinary sex in the bed with Glitter. It was under it, on the kitchen table, on the bathroom floor."
Now the bald-headed fiend has had the nerve to complain his prison bed is too HARD.
And after arrogantly waving away police questions he demanded mineral water to bathe in, claiming the local mains supply was too dirty.
