I saw The Good Shepherd. The flaws that had been mentioned were there, it is too long and can get chaotic and too uninvolved but I liked it ini general. Matt Damon's character was very chilling, he seemed dead inside. There were just rare flashes of any humanity left in him. Angelina Jolie was actually better than I expected as his neglected and humiliated (not to mention cheated on) wife but I think that this film did not need her and the baggage she brings. There were a couple of morons in the cinema who were in the film just to oggle at her and their stupid comments were truly distracting.

The guy who played Matt Damon's character's son is disturbingly freaky looking but I think he serves the plot quite well.

In all, I'd say see it if you don't mind long movies with loads of characters and jumps back and forth in time. It really isn't bad and some of the spy stuff going on is fascinating.
