Agreed. But if I'm not mistaken the indians have their own special laws that could've made it very difficult for her to take the boy away from the reservation once he was there. Against his father's will that is. They take care of their people.
Even though it's a real newspaper, the descriptions used in the story just seem too over-the-top ridiculous. Not sure if I believe or not, but with ANS and her messy life nothing would really be surprising anymore.
