I personally suspect that's a BS myth made to cover up cocaine abuse
or anorexia.
When people "eat and eat and don't gain weight," they're really gaining
weight inside their rib cage and their abdominal cavities; their internal
organs are being squeezed by accumulated fat. So they eat and eat
for years thinking "I'll never be fat" because they haven't seen the
results yet.
And when they do see the results of overeating, it's too
late to fix it.
