I agree with her. The hijab was never imposed in the Qur'an. It was even a cultural Jewish tradition which then Arab female Middle Easterners took on. I can even debate those who say IT IS mandatory as the Qur'anic passages say.I can take those passages and prove them wrong from MY interpretations. It was probably Islamic scholars along the way that installed this notion of hijab being mandatory. But as I say, let it be a woman'c choice to wear it or not and it is NOT obligatory.
