Good on her for coming out and saying it. So many people consider it such a sacred thing, as if wearing the veil is the make and break point of your morality.A lot of people will attack her though no doubt, it's so deeply embedded in the culture that most ppl are completely convinced that it's a divine order not up for debate without doing any research themselves. Just yesterday , I was telling a girl how much I hated niqab (face covering) and she told me that I shouldn't say that because those women are so much better than the rest of us and O so brave. Of course if I had mentioned I hated and didn't believe in the necessity of the veil as well, it would've been nothing less than scandalous for me.
