Granted I haven't lived in India or been there to experience the culture in person, but I do know that in my dealings with Indian people in the US, there is very much an issue about Indian people dating/marrying people of a different race/culture. My fiance is half Indian and whenever we go out, you wouldn't believe the looks and comments we get from Indian people who "oppose" our relationship. Whether it's a racial or cultural issue, it is still prejudice.
