Correct me if im wrong. Bollywood is located in Bombay which is in western India, not northern India. The language used in Bollywood films is Hindi which is the national language of India. There are indigenious industries in the North, South and Eastern India where the language spoken is different.

The Northern film industries belong to the regions of Punjab and Bihar -bhojpuri.Google searches say this. I'm made to believe Bollywood is an Indian film industry not limited to any one region.
