I agree, and the whole point of the matter is, the DJ's were absolutely negligent in not getting any form of assistance for these people that were getting seriously ill.
That is what is most despicable.
Sure, it was the contestant's choice to enter this contest. Yes, they continued to drink water (but notice one of the contestants says that she felt drunk and was out of it, and in that competitive environment of being egged on and whatnot, pretty easy to try and push the body beyond the limits). Maybe that makes them stupid.
But when you have contestants violently shivering on the floor, vomitting, showing serious signs of bodily malfunctions, and all you do is mock them and act like nothing is wrong, this is criminal negligence. You do not sit there and laugh and heckle obviously sick people, when even one of your listeners had advised that water intoxication can kill. You pick up the phone and freaking dial 9-1-1 pronto and get medical help.
