After seeing the Fantasia Borrino Movie, I realized that there were pre screenings before contestants even got through to see Simon, Randy and Paula. Knowing this now, I refuse to watch the show, because these poor dilusional people were then probably lied to and told that they COULD sing.
That's probably why they always look so shocked when they are told no. They are not searching for the next great talent, they are looking for people to make look like assholes.
