I'm medium rare, always have been. My husband always gets well done. I kept telling him for the longest time that Filet Mignon is not supposed to be well done; it tastes best when it's a little pink. Anyway, he ordered a steak last May and it came back medium instead of well done. He whined a little bit, but ate it anyway. He declared this to be the best steak he's ever had. I told him that's because it's not well done, and cooked like it's supposed to be.
