You know, my mom never took our pets to the vet - I wonder if it's a generational thing? I was never raised thinking pets needed medical help, until they needed put to sleep - pets were disposable for our family I guess. So, I know where you're coming from. I feel terrible for some of the mistakes I made with my kitty in college

Did the doc give you any idea what the cost of the treatment would be? Like PB said, some are MAJOR rip-offs. We've been lucky in our area to find a farm vet that charges very little to see our kitty - and the service is unbelievable...
