Come on now, why can't two guys be close without having to deal with people questioning their sexuality? This is probably why so many men are afraid to even accidentally brush their hands together for fear of being called gay.

And what's wrong with getting upset over gay rumors if you're not gay? Some people actually do feel pretty strongly about it and don't want to be called gay if they're not. That doesn't mean that they must be gay because they're protesting it too much.

Sorry, I don't mean to rant, but I've been labeled a lesbian by a bunch of people (including some ignorant cousins) because I've been seen with a guy before (so that means I must be secretly stashing a GF somewhere, I guess; quite honestly I just think guys and the whole idea of sex is GROSS), because I don't dress or act feminine and because I play a sport other than tennis or bikini beach volleyball. It bothers me because it's not true, number one, and also because I personally don't agree with the idea of homosexuality. No that doesn't mean I hate gay people or am discriminatory. Quite honestly if someone else is gay then I really don't care, it's not my business; I'm sure people think there are plenty of things wrong with how I live my life, but that doesn't make them discriminatory against me or "phobic" about whatever it is I'm doing.

Seriously, why all this "oh they're close, they must be gay" or "oh they deny it so they must be hiding something?"
