Los Angeles has been booked for the star-studded ceremony.
The Nutty Professor actor divorced his wife Nicole in June - they have five children together.
It will also be Mel's second marriage - she split from dancer
Jimmy Gulzar in 2000.
The Northerner has one daughter, seven-year-old Phoenix Chi.
She moved to LA three years ago after failing to become an actress in Britain.
The duo were apparently introduced by friends.
