PUNE: A Toyota Qualis carrying the crew of the Hollywood film 'A Mighty Heart' was involved in a minor accident with a motorcycle near the International Convention Centre in Pune on Wednesday.

Even as the motorcyclist Mittal Rawat (20), a microbiology student, escaped with minor bruises, the Qualis, with some crew members on board, fled the scene. Eyewitnesses said Angelina Jolie was travelling in one of the two cars.

While the Chaturshrungi police took cognisance of the matter in the form of an 'occurrence report', according to senior police inspector Govind Pawar, a case of rash and negligent driving could be filed against the vehicle’s driver. "It is a serious offence and the driver can be arrested if found guilty," Pawar said.

Two Fergusson College students, Rohit and Nikhil told TOI that they were at the spot and chased the Qualis, before it entered Sindh Society on Baner Road, which is the venue for the shooting. According to Rohit and Nikhil, there were two Qualises, of which the second one hit Rawat from behind and fled the scene. They said both cars sped away jumping traffic signals after hitting Rawat.
