I agree completely, WH. From what i read, the gist of what i understood is that Baldwin (even though he's a wacko) has, at the very core of what he's doing, is that he's giving kids/young adults a purpose/direction in life OTHER than drugs & debauchery. Like you said, if he's teaching these kids to be like Jesus (i.e. peace-loving, fullfilled people), then, IMO, GREAT! But, like you said, IF he's teaching them to, as you say, "hate fags" & horrible negative stuff like that, then that would absolutely NOT be a positive thing and would change my opinion of Baldwin's work. But like you said in another post, if he's helping even one person to stay away from Crystal Meth (and any other harmful drugs), then i commend him at the very least for that feat. That alone (keeping young people away from drugs) is an admirable thing. And if he's doing even more positive work in addition to that, then i commend him even more. But if he's preaching negative anti-gay (for example) stuff, then that would absolutely change my opinion of him & his work. But overall, BASED ON WHAT I KNOW AT THIS POINT, i commend Baldwin for at least helping some young people to apparently avoid a life of drugs & destructive behavior.
