One of the reasons
Hudson Hawk cost so much money is because
Willis demanded that the studio retouch every frame of that movie
that showed him to have thinning hair. (It was in his contract --
he was given approval of the final cut, and he didn't like how bald
he looked.)
Of course, this was in 1992 or 1993, and if
Pulp Fiction
hadn't come along and revived his career, that would have been
the end of Willis. He followed up
Hudson Hawk with
Striking Distance,
a movie so dismal one exec described it as "
Hudson Hawk without
the laughs..."
