I don't have anything against cats. I have 3 beautiful cats that I rescued from the pound and I take objection to you saying that I'd want them killed off at the pound. First off all - I wasn't the idiot that let their cat run wild to be picked up. Second, get that animal spayed or neutered - even if you aren't going to let it run wild. I'm so sick of irresponsible owners. I am all to familiar with how many animals are put down because there isn't room in the shelter. PS - did you know that if they all get kennel cough - they all go down as well? Did you also know that their are people who come in and expect that little Fluffy would be there after they were called a month ago?

What I have a problem with is irresponsible owners who let their animals out and don't keep track of them. And also those owners who assume that I want their damn cat in my house. Why don't I drop off a few rotties and dobs at your house and say 'well, you left the window/door open?' because I don't see the difference between letting dogs or cats run loose. How do you know the neighbor isn't allegeric to the animal?
Just like people with children - you assume that we think your 'precious' is 'precious'. Here's some news - I have 3 of my own that I take care of, and I don't want your stinky cats over to mooch off the food, or sit on my dining table. My own cats don't even do that.

Either way - maybe I should no longer get upset over a dead cat in the road because their owner was a moron who thought it was ok to let their cat outside.
