Maybe it's just me, but I've never had that much luck with consignment and thrift sotres. When I was in high school, I wore a lot of vintage dresses, but they were bought from the Attic, which is pretty expensive for vintage. I have yet to find a reasonably priced consignment boutique. The last one I went to was trying to sell nasty pastel Escada suits from the 80s for $400.
