I hear what you are saying, but that is really the smaller picture, you know?? I can't fathom the loss of a child and think every mother would need sedation upon the learning or finding of their child's death. I would need sedation for a good. Long. While.
Also just had a girlfriend who had to have a D&C after her delivery and had to be put under anethesia. That was about 10 days ago and she is currently breastfeeding, so I guess sedation is doable. They might have her pump and dump first. Of course that is even assuming she is breastfeeding. With implants, she should be able to *if* she did it with her son. Then your body knows what to do, if you are a first time mom/BFer, there may be some difficulties. At least that is what I was told by a friend who has BTDT.
