Well I do understand about the older parents..I was faced with a similar situation myself with a 90+ year old grandmother..with parents who were begging me to go along with the straight thing cause' it would kill her'. I felt manipulated and conflicted..but I went along with what they wanted. I was not happy about it however..it was IMO at that time the best decision-there was no decison involved that would have been satisfactory IMO though. Generally I do think that people who are happy or satisfied with comfortable lies rather than uncomfortable truths are people who are not to be admired or emulated, but rather people to be pitied.
