Soul legend Lionel Richie was oblivious to his daughter Nicole's extreme weight loss at first because nothing appeared unusual about her diet to him. The singer saw Nicole everyday so became accustomed to her thin frame - before deciding to ask her if she was eating well.

He says, "I didn't even notice it at first, because when you see somebody so much, you don't see what other people see. I asked her if she eats properly.
