This is my theory:
Me and many friends of mine believe he and Jared got heavily involved while filming Alexander.

Well, I believe he will hit on anything with a hole in it. It doesn´t have to be alive.
But seriously, when a very unique good looking guy like Jared smiles at him and they have some physical contact because of the scenes they´re shooting etc, he feels something that is stronger than him.
